We have an immediate need for an AV engineer with following job description. Av Engineer • Agile information technlogy • Doha, Qatar The candidate is responsible for AV integration and/or support needs for our customers. This relates to all AV technology, to include large displays, projectors and screens, Smart boards, digital signage, speakers, amplifiers, audio/video switchers, mixers, microphones, control systems, videoconferencing units, various cabling terminations, and cable management systems. He/she will also serve as a field-lead to instilling best practices and standards of work as they relate to AV integration and support. Strong candidates should possess significant experience installing audio visual solutions with diverse products in a commercial business environment. They must have strong communication, motivation, follow-up, documentation, organization, prioritization, and customer service skills. In addition, the candidate must have a can-do attitude, a strong work ethic and the ability to manage people and build relationships with team members and customers with varying personalities. The AV Engineer is also responsible to generate new AV proposals, communicate with suppliers to get price quotes and recommend latest AV technologies for upcoming projects. Skills Essential Duties and Qualities include the following. Other duties may be assigned: • Develop project-specific work plans. • Communicate and coordinate on-site with clients, facility owners, general contractors, and associated trades as required to complete AV Projects • Install AV systems according to systems documentation and industry standards and best-practices • Maintain complete and accurate as-built documentation of systems installations • Continually work to improve customer service perception and satisfaction • Provide feedback to management and co-workers to improve system implementations, engineering, and day-to-day workflow • Provide field-support for service tickets as needed • Prepare cost estimates and proposals for projects • Maintenance of existing AV projects Competency: • To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies • Ability to read and understand project drawings and schematics, engineering notes, and operation manuals • Ability to understand construction blueprints, and demonstrated knowledge of commercial construction practices • Above-average knowledge of and experience with the installation of AV systems and equipment including front/rear projection, flat-panel displays, control systems, and AV signal routing and processing equipment • Ability to fabricate, cable, and test equipment racks and cabinets • Ability to hang projection screens, display panels, and related AV equipment • Demonstrate effective communication skills along with the ability to handle pressure sensitive situations • Ability to properly and safely use/operate lifts, hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic test equipment • Demonstrated ability to work without direct supervision • Basic knowledge of network connectivity and methods • Good interpersonal and time management skills • Must be detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task and handle deadlines and tight timelines Industry Certifications: • Certifications such as CTS, Crestron, Extron, Polycom, Biamp, QSC, etc. are desired. Education/Experience: • Electronics or Electrical Degree. Minimum 3 years' experience in AV systems. Availability • The candidate shall be able to join immediately and holds an NoC letter.
