1. Senior Planning Engineer
Senior Planning Engineer to join our team for a major infrastructure project under Ashghal in Qatar. The ideal candidate must be MMUP-registered and possess a strong background in planning, scheduling, and project controls within the infrastructure and roads sector. You will be responsible for ensuring that all project activities are planned, tracked, and delivered on time, while complying with client and contractual requirements.
Your new role, what's involved?
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports on timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and contractors to gather relevant planning data.
- Analyze critical paths and constraints to determine the effect of changes on the schedule.
- Propose mitigation measures to recover slippage or avoid potential delays.
- Participate in progress meetings with Ashghal and other stakeholders.
- Prepare extension of time (EOT) claims, delay analysis, and other contractual time-related documentation.
- Ensure all planning and scheduling activities comply with Ashghal requirements and standards.
- Support cost control and risk management functions as required.
- Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to align schedule with resource and material availability.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 12-15 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years on Ashghal or similar infrastructure projects in Qatar.
- Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel.
- MMUP registration is mandatory
- Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts and time-related contractual claims.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
2. Resident Engineer – Landscape
The role includes ensuring landscape designs are implemented in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and sustainability goals. This position requires coordination with multiple stakeholders including contractors, consultants, Ashghal representatives, and local authorities.
Your new role, what's involved?
- Act as the site representative for all landscape-related works.
- Supervise the implementation of landscape architecture including softscape, hardscape, irrigation systems, and street furniture.
- Review and approve shop drawings, materials, and method statements related to landscape works.
- Monitor contractor’s performance to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and Ashghal standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and issue non-compliance reports where necessary.
- Coordinate with road, utility, and structural teams to ensure landscape works are integrated effectively.
- Liaise with Ashghal, consultants, and relevant government agencies as required.
- Provide technical guidance and resolution of design/construction issues on site.
- Ensure safety and environmental standards are adhered to during landscape activities.
- Participate in progress and coordination meetings with stakeholders.

- Familiarity with Ashghal’s specifications and QCS (Qatar Construction Specifications).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
- MMUP/UPDA certification is preferred.
