Reservations Manager is Needed in Qatar

 Job Objectives:


Supervises the job performance of reservations staff and implements policies and procedures under the management of the Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing.


Assists the Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing in providing an efficient Reservations Team and maximizing revenues to achieve budgeted and forecasted targets.


Interacts and cooperates with Sales, Reception, Guest Relations, Banquet, Accounting, and Housekeeping.


Accountabilities:


Knowledgeable of the entire Reservation Procedures.

Allocates daily tasks to Reservations staff. Monitors staff productivity and performance, and take appropriate action when necessary to ensure departmental goals and targets are achieved.

Review daily reservations and arrival reports.

Responsible for the preparation of occupancy forecast.

Responsible for training the Reservations staff.

Liaise with Sales Department with regard to Occupancy and Rates Reservation Analysis.

Identify Top Producing Accounts and ensure proper recognition by the Reservation staff.

Responsible for producing various Production reports and supplying all the concerned departments.

Monitors telephone manner and general performance of reservations staff daily.

Ensures special handling of repeat guests and VVIP guests.

Reviews room blocking for Long Stays, Suites, and special group requests.

Supervises Group Reservations.

Responsible in preparing the work schedule of the Reservations Department. Maintains effective staff scheduling ensuring optimum level of staff resources according to business needs.

Monitors the accuracy of commission status of booking engines such as Booking.com, Laterooms, Best Western Member web, Hotel.info and HRS.com

Achieves an optimum level of occupancy and average room rate to best yield revenue and to ensure budgeted targets are met.

Must be fully conversant with all market segments and rate plans, together with special rates and packages.

Attends and participates in the monthly Sales Strategy and Brainstorming meeting, Reservations feedback meetings, and other departmental activities as required

Assists in providing information on how to acquire hotel visas.

Upsells special room types such as suites, suites with special features, preferred views, and Special “exclusive” floors like executive floors and packages that include additional amenities, services, or activities.
