About RKH Qitarat

RKH Qitarat is a consortium between RATPDev, Keolis and Hamad Group for a multi-billion, 20-year contract for the operation and maintenance of Doha Metro and Lusail Light Rail Transit (Tram) projects.

As of December 2017, RKH Qitarat was formally awarded the opportunity to manage and operate both the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram Projects by Qatar Rail.

Required jobs in RKH Qitarat Company and their details:

1. AFC Engineer

Delivering a safe and reliable passenger service with a specific focus on engineering, maintenance, and asset management for the AFC System (Wayside and on-board systems).
Developing, reviewing, validating and implementing the maintenance processes, procedures, manuals and plans for all relevant systems and equipment, for both in-house or outsourced maintenance.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Providing assistance to the Senior Infrastructure Maintenance Manager for the set up of the maintenance plans, procedure and task instructions 
  • Managing the infrastructure in-house Level 1 to 4 maintenance activities and the relevant staff for the above stated assets
  • Enhancing asset performance and enforcing best industry practices, with a value for money approach
  • Manage his staff and maintenance activities in order to deliver safe & reliable assets
  • Ensure timely and accurate update in MMS for all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks
  • Maintain maintenance records, historical data/evidence and make these available whenever required
  • Propose enhanced KPR/KPIs (such as but not limited to MTBF, MTTR, Availability) and review the asset performance on an ongoing basis with the inputs provided by MMS team
  • Perform training needs analysis and address staff competencies on an ongoing basis
  • Undertake technical audits and inspections as well as data records checks to ensure compliance and high standard quality, and provide recommendations
  • Take a proactive role in the Latent Defect and Warranty Processes in support of the Infrastructure Maintenance Manager


  • Ensure that root cause analysis is performed promptly for each incident
  • Introduce best maintenance practices leading to predictive maintenance
  • Initiate improvement plans aiming to cost optimization and enhanced service delivery, including the introduction of new technologies through business cases
  • Provide the monthly/period and ongoing reporting in line with the contractual and stakeholders requirements
  • Liaise with external stakeholders (Infrastructure manufacturers and suppliers, subcontractors, third parties) as and when required
  • Liaise with groups experts and engineers and have a proactive role in the group networking to share good practices and enforce two-way knowledge transfer
  • Contribute to the ISO 9000 and 14000, 55000 Certification for area of expertise and ensure compliance once accredited
  • Carry out any other mission or work assigned by the Senior Infrastructure Maintenance Manager

Skills and Experience:

  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in engineering / maintenance of AFC systems.
  • Staff management
  • IOSH working safely
  • MAXIMO or any similar MMS/CMMS
  • Technical standards relevant to the systems under his/her responsibility
  • Risk analysis
  • Condition Based (CBM) and predictive maintenance
  • Anticipation, analysis, identification and problem-solving capacity
  • Stakeholder management with internal and external customers
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Training needs analysis
  • IT literate
  • Degree (4 years)/Diploma (3 years)  in a related engineering field
  • Support during special events
  • Support for specific testing/inspection activities

2. Senior Contract Manager (Systems)

Guaranteeing above and beyond the relevant contractual KPRs, Reviewing the contract and contractual documentation within Systems scope and ensuring compliance Setting up and implementing all processes contributing to ensure a high level of performance on Rails systems scope

Key Accountabilities:

  • Contribute to the ISO 55001 certification
  • Assist with the team the RQHSE department in the ISO 9000 and 14000 Certifications for all subcontracted maintenance activities
  • Collaborate and coordinate with a team of contracts managers & system engineers and liaise with all other company departments
  • Liaise with external stakeholders (Qatar Rail, subcontractors, third parties) as and when required
  • Liaise with groups experts and engineers and have a proactive role in the group networking to share good practices and enforce two-way knowledge transfer
  • Provide contractual support to the commercial team
  • Ensure thorough audits and inspections as well as data records checks are carried out to ensure compliance and high standard quality from the Subcontractor, and provide recommendations
  • Take a proactive approach in subcontractor partnership and win-win approach leading to better value for money of the assets
  • Initiate improvement plans and enhanced service delivery through KPRs/KPIs, including the introduction of new technologies through business cases
  • Continuously benchmark the subcontractors against competitors and review the contracts periodically
  • Promote and lead changes
  • Contribute to the overall asset renewal plan implementation management for subcontractors
  • Provide the weekly/monthly/period and ongoing reporting in line with the contractual and stakeholders requirements
  • Perform ‘on call’ duties
  •  Carry out any other mission or work assigned by the Head of Contract Delivery

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in assets management or contracts management and procurement for high performance systems.
  • Strong knowledge of the railway assets, maintenance management and its operations procedures
  • Prior involvement and experience in construction or project management is an advantage, including T&C, trial running and handover
  • Technical standards relevant to the systems under his/her responsibility
  • Risk analysis
  • Condition Based (CBM) and predictive maintenance
  • Negotiation and authority, with decision making capability
  • Anticipation, analysis, identification and problem-solving capacity
  • Stakeholder management with internal and external customers
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Analytical and critical ability
  • IT proficiency
  • Experience in GCC is a strong advantage
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Maintenance
  • Support during special events
  • Support for specific testing/inspection activities
