• Work closely with clients to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Foster and maintain relationships with existing internal and external clients.
• Lead and undertake relationship building and work winning with clients, targeting new clients and a minimum revenue of QAR 5mn.
• Monitor the technically and commercially sound delivery of projects and promote client satisfaction.
• Develop strategies for targeting market sectors, individual clients and specific projects.
• Contribute to GHD’s corporate profile development in the Business Group’s Market Sector(s).
• Provide technical leadership and provide innovative and robust solutions based on infrastructure expertise and experience.
• Winning and successful delivery of projects
• Lead infrastructure projects including across the region
• Implementation of the ME Water Road Map in relation to Qatar Region.
• Infrastructure technical reports and design documentations.
• Ensure accuracy in all project deliverables Specific skills & Knowledge.
• Proven track record of working with key clients especially Kahramaa and Ashghal and large infrastructure contractors.
• Proven track record of delivery of different technical projects in Qatar including master plans, operations plan, design, asset management covering water, wastewater and stormwater networks.
• Ability to establish a network of contacts of clients and working partners.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality projects on time and within budget.
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership and team development skills, cooperation with team members with sharing of information and knowledge.

• Assist with leading and contributing to the design process from conceptual phase through to the construction documentation and ensuring the design idea is consistent and accurately executed.
• Prepare, and develop where required, drawings, models, images, and other documents relating to the design.
• Review and validation of design deliverables for projects of medium to high complexity with clients and authorities, capturing feedback and acquiring approvals, as needed.
• Collaborate closely, where appropriate, with members of the external design team and other associated organizations or companies.
• Technically competent in the use of AutoCAD, Revit, 3D Sketches, Adobe Suite and Rhino.
• Proactively checks and coordinates project documents (including but not limited to multi-disciplinary drawings, design reports, technical specifications, etc.) and ensure they meet Client requirements and Industry Standards.
• Preparation of discipline drawings for submission to the Statutory Authorities. Developed knowledge of local & international codes, regulations and submission requirements.
• Implementing SID “Safety in Design” principals throughout the design process and ensuring ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Structure throughout projects.

• Proven core Structural Engineering skills and design experience
• Good understanding of structural mechanics
• Familiar with international design codes, BS/EN and American codes
• Thorough knowledge of Finite Element Analysis – a frequent user of structural software ETABS and SAFE
• Experienced in design documentation for various stages, concept design through to IFC
• A proven record of delivering medium-to-large building projects
• Ability to work independently and part of a team with enthusiasm to learn new skills
• Experience in interdisciplinary coordination
• Strong communication skills including written and spoken English skills
• Middle East experience is preferrable
• Be a Registered Engineer (or in the process of registration) with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) in Qatar.
