1. Estimation Engineer
The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing tender documents, evaluating project specifications, and ensuring competitive pricing strategies. The role involves coordinating with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive cost proposals and support management in decision-making for bids and tenders.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Capable to prepare technical & together with competitive financial submissions.
- Assists in developing techniques/strategies to expedite the overall process of tendering starting from quantity surveying to completing the Estimation Sheets.
- Performs site visits and gather necessary information such as accessibility, availability of electricity and services.
- Communicate with external entities such as subcontractors / suppliers to prepare cost estimates by gathering cost related information as needed.
- Perform all the other tasks assigned by Tender Manager within the capacity of Role.
- Updating the Tenders Manager on a regular basis about progress and areas of difficulty
- Manages the in-field engineering activities of the Project.
- Participates in all design issues to ensure the best working practices and constructability processes are used.
- To read and interpret construction plans; specifications, and inspection procedures.
- Perform all the other tasks assigned by Tenders Manager within the capacity of Role.
Qualifications:
- Minimum years of experience in same job is 3-5 years, with enough experience in construction field in State of Qatar.
- Has been worked in Grade A, or Grade B companies.
- Has a good experience in pricing for governmental authorities, such as PWA.
2. MEP Engineer
The MEP Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, execution, and supervision of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in construction projects. The role ensures that all MEP installations comply with project specifications, standards, and safety regulations while coordinating with various stakeholders to achieve timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Review project specifications, drawings, and MEP requirements.
- Prepare and verify MEP designs, shop drawings, and material submittals.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure design compatibility.
- Conduct load calculations, sizing of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems using relevant codes and standards.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
- Ensure all works comply with project specifications, approved drawings, and local regulations.
- Monitor site activities to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve technical issues proactively.
- Coordinate between subcontractors, consultants, and the main contractor to ensure smooth workflow.
- Attend project meetings to resolve design, construction, and technical challenges.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors for material procurement and ensure timely deliveries.
- Prepare testing and commissioning plans for MEP systems.
- Supervise functional testing of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire-fighting systems.
- Ensure proper documentation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover reports.
- Follow and enforce health, safety, and environmental guidelines on site.
- Conduct inspections to ensure systems are safe and operational.
