Required jobs in NOV company and their details:
1. CNC Machinist (Rotatory Shoulder connections, Fanuc & Mazak)
Operate CNC machines as per work instruction/drawing to machine components and intermittent supervisory checks. Ensure that measuring equipment are used properly to maximize productivity. Programming, basic maintenance and trouble shooting.
Key Responsibilities
- To follow all safety rules, policies provided by NOV.
- Set up the Machine as per requirement/specification to ensure proper working order.
- Produce/Machine threaded connections (API, GP and other) and parts as per provided drawing and program.
- Carry out inspection and verify that each thread and part are generated as per the provide specification.
- To ensure that regular and preventive maintenance procedure is carried out each shift.
- Record all dimensional parameters in the process sheet.
- Create and maintain daily activity logs.
- Identify and report drawing errors and suggest for improvements.
- Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat and tidy.
- Carry out any other duties reasonable within capability as required by the Machine Shop Supervisor / Manager or his designee.
- To know the company safety and environmental rules and regulations
- To report to immediate supervisor/manager during the emergency situations
- Participation & Consultation towards review of Risk Assessment & Impact Aspects
- To attend all the HSEMS and QMS trainings planned by QA, Safety and HR
- Know and understand the safe working procedures for their work.
- Recognize environmental, health, and safety hazards.

- Operating and setting up of CNC machines for Threading and Turning
- Generate CNC programs using our pre-define programs. Cutting and Inspection of RSC connections such as (GP, API, DS1, etc.)
2. Tubular/OCTG Inspector
As Tubular Inspector, you will conduct inspection services at the customer or facility on Drillpipe, BHA or other equipment. Liaise with Supervisor/Manager and Customer for job progress and completing/updating daily sheets/reports. Check reports prior to submitting to document control/customers for accuracy. Ensure jobs are completed in a safe manner, with daily Tool-Box-Talks (TBT) held and other company procedures, industry standards and specifications, and customer requirements. Also, conduct inspection as per work instruction/specification on Tubulars (Drillpipe, BHA and OCTG etc.) and intermittent supervisory checks. Ensure that inspection and measuring equipment are used properly to maximize productivity. Basic maintenance and trouble shooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect Tubular Inspection (Drill-String, Casing, Tubing, Rig Equipment, Parts handling etc.) in accordance to standards such as RP7G-2, DS-1 or Customer Requirement
- Compile Inspection reports on completion of all Jobs
- Liaise with Third party inspectors and customers
- Operate Inspection equipment on a daily basis
- To carry out Inspection work whenever and wherever including offsite as required by company
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping with the work area
- Maintaining work equipment in a safe condition and reporting any deficiencies
- Completion of daily time sheet, Hours vs Job Number
- Ensuring company property is safe & secure at the end of each shift
- Carry out all duties in accordance with the Quality Assurance, HSE and Company Procedures and departmental works instruction
- Reports to the Supervisor/Manager about job progress on daily basis
- Good official decorum
- Punctual on Duty
- Reviewing and signing all final reports for the jobs carried out
- Regular check on the trainees and checking their progress
- Ensure production targets are met and sufficient level
- Commitment to HSE Policy, HSE rules, Instructions and Procedures
- Conducting the daily Toolbox Talks (TBT) before commencing work, reviewing the work permits and STOP cards and submit the monthly records to HSE department
- Report any Near miss, Accident, Incident or first aid cases to HSE department and Supervisor immediately
- Responsible for monitoring the processes within their areas of responsibility and for reporting any feedback that may help improve the safety/quality of work performed. In their absence, their immediate next in line assumes responsibility.
- Evaluate the competency of the individual in accordance with guidelines on the received procedural training and on-the-job (OJT) practical training
- Responsible for verifying all the requirements of a customer order as described in the work order have been met
- Good knowledge about inspection standards
- Trouble-shooter for any problems belong work / workers
- Taking accountability for the effectiveness of the quality management system
- Promoting the use of the process approach and risk-based thinking
- Communicating the importance of effective quality management and of conforming to the quality management system requirements
- Engaging, directing, and supporting persons to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system
- Ensure proper housekeeping, and organization of equipment and inspected tools in a safe position
- All other duties as assigned
