Roles and responsibilities:
- Familiarity with work-related issues and data challenges of the Ministry.
- Determines the strengths and weaknesses of automating the ministry’s work, and suggests areas for improvement.
- Review and edit requirements, specifications and recommendations relevant to the proposed solution.
- Establishing technical specifications and design specifications for systems needed by the Ministry.
- Understand the business management process and business requirements of customers and translate them into specific software requirements to serve those requirements.
- Ensure that recommended solutions are competitive and commercially up to date.
- Document and analyze the required information and data.
- Understand technical designs as well as specifications.
- Evaluate information collected through workshops, surveys, or other means of systems analysis
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers to deliver technical requirements such as GUI, screens, interface designs, and reports.
- Very strong technical skills coupled with intelligence and a deep understanding of customer needs so that they can be transformed into application and operational requirements.
- Act as a point of contact between business units, development teams and support teams.
- Assists in facilitating team and client meetings.
- Can present presentations in a well-organized manner.
- Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
2. Disaster Recovery Analyst
Roles and responsibilities:
- Providing and developing a business continuity plan and disaster recovery services.
- Supporting services hosted within the Ministry and services hosted on the cloud (Azure).
- Develop Business Continuity Plans (BCP), Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP), and implement full BC & DR services.
- Conduct risk analysis, identify weak points, and develop strategies to avoid and reduce disasters.
- Conduct business impact analyzes and help ministry sectors identify critical businesses and establish procedures for continuity of operations in disaster situations.
- Develop methodologies for disaster recovery testing and plan and coordinate recovery support testing and business resumption procedures in various areas.
- Conduct disaster recovery training for employees while providing educational and informational materials on how to expect employee response during an emergency.
- Liaise with external emergency planning and local/regional emergency response groups.
